A formal outcome letter is rarely the full story. The investigation file behind it usually contains far more than an employer will volunteer without a properly scoped request.
Launch Verified Employment RequestInterview transcripts, evidence gathered, and the investigator's own working notes — not just the final summary shared with you.
Accounts given by colleagues, redacted only where genuinely necessary to protect a third party's own data.
Slack, Teams, or email threads between managers and HR about how the situation was being handled.
Any internal advice sought about the case, and how it shaped the eventual outcome.
A generic request often gets you a short outcome letter and little else — organisations aren't obliged to volunteer the underlying investigation material unless specifically asked. Getting the interview notes, witness statements, and internal discussion requires the request to name these categories directly, and to be identity-verified so the clock can't be legitimately paused on ID grounds alone.
